How To Hire Workers from the Philippines
For recruitment of Filipino workers, employer must course through their manpower requirements to POEA-Licensed private employment agencies as required by the Philippine government.
The employer must submit the recruitment documents to the nearest Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) at the Philippine Embassy/Consulate for verification. This process determines the existence of the company and the need for Filipino manpower.
The employer must submit the following:
- Special Power of Attorney
- Recruitment Agreement
- Copy of Commercial Registration or Business License
- Manpower Request or Job Order
- Master Employment Contract with the minimum provision set by the Philippine Government
Once these documents are verified and authenticated, the licensed employment agency will register the job order with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) before any recruitment activities are conducted.
