Kitchen Helper – Program Information
In response to the high demand by Canadian employers for the recruitment of kitchen helpers, HRPC and RSI are proud to announce the initiation of a Kitchen Helper Certification Program. The Kitchen Helper Certification Program opens opportunities for applicants interested in starting a career in the kitchen operations of hotels and restaurants in Canada. The program follows the same format for the certification of housekeepers and food and beverage servers with the following:
- 6 weeks classroom instruction
- 50 hours practical kitchen classes in affiliate culinary arts school
- Schedules: 3 times per week (6PM-9PM)
- On-the-job work experience for 300 hours in hotels or family and specialty restaurants
- Final practical assessment
